The speed at which sound travels is also the name of an Instagram account where I post some of my travel shots along with a minute-long sound bite. I'm hoping to use this experiment as a chance to see if the experience and pace of Instagram can be augmented, by designing content that takes a little longer to digest than usual (kind of like "slow TV"). Take the time to look at still images longer, maybe listen to music you normally wouldn't.

TGM

Working with my friend Oleg, we ironed out the look and feel of TGM's branding (including logo lock-ups, typography, photo/illustration/pattern/colour usage, interior design suggestions, construction hoarding and print collateral) in time for their Singapore relaunch and imminent expansion across Asia.

Iceberg Vodka

I helped concept, shoot, retouch and animate social content for Canada's Vodka: Iceberg Vodka—made from real icebergs in Newfoundland. We experimented with ways to make the brand look more premium, and we looked for opportunities to celebrate being Canadian.

Creating social content for Nestlé's many brands involved sketching out and pitching concepts, making shot and prop lists, shooting them, retouching the images, and animating short videos. Other tasks included: waiting for the sun to set for the perfect shadow, removing every hair from a copywriter's arm and making boardrooms look like kitchens.

Format

Format (fka 4ormat) is a portfolio-building tool geared towards creative professionals. The portfolio you're looking at right now was actually built using Format! Needless to say, I love the product. I was lucky enough to be part of their team briefly in 2013. They had me mock-up tear down pages, tutorials and marketing assets—for the app itself as well as side projects like Damn You Art School and Explore, Create, Repeat.

Native Shoes

Keep it lite. That was the motto. I knew that if what I was designing wasn't even a little bit fun, I knew it had veered off-brand. I helped create OOH as well as print and digital ads for Native. I also helped create assets for the website, panels for tradeshow booths, tech drawings for the factories, laid out presentations for presentations and concepted some lite-hearted marketing ideas.

Sweep

Sweep was a conceptual app designed to integrate useful and flexible digital tools into the world of Nike and pick-up basketball. With some friends, I helped ideate the UI and UX of the app, art direct photoshoots and bumpers, design print and digital versions of a pitch deck.
